Vicar Oguafor is a Lawyer and Chartered Arbitrator. He is currently a Senior Associate at Allen & Brooks where he oversees the corporate commercial, entertainment, technology, fintech, oil & gas and energy transactions of the firm. Vicar holds a bachelor’s degree from the prestigious Afe Babalola University, and is an alumnus of the Corporate finance Institute (CFI) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). 

He is a member of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators. Vicar has at different times worked as Counsel at some of Nigeria’s leading law firms which include; M.A Banire SAN & Associates and Principles Law Partnership. Whilst at M.A Banire SAN & Associates, he appeared at the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and Federal High Court. He also served on the team of lawyers who represented the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the 2019 Nigerian Presidential Election Petition as well as the 2019 National Assembly/State Houses of Assembly Election Petition for the Ajaokuta Federal constituency. Vicar also provided legal advisory for the 2019 Abuja – FCT Parking Regulations.

Prior to joining Allen & Brooks, he was the Legal Officer at Hasal Bank, Abuja where he handled and advised on debt recovery, title perfection, all asset debenture, debt and corporate financing. He currently serves on the Board of various startup companies which include; Lawyerpp, Xavier Paisley, WFD ltd – Ghana, Start-up life ltd, Phone-flag and EVC (a venture capital firm that primarily invests in African start-ups).
